Dan's Fave String Gauges

We are delighted to use Stringjoy strings, made in Nashville, Tennessee. You can read all about them at the Stringjoy website, suffice to say that Mick and I are big fans of their feel, tone, consistency and longevity.

I'm always trying different things out, and got interested in strings again during 2023. I'm set on the gauges but I was looking for a different feel under my fingers. The search stopped here - I stuck them on Red and phoned Mick immediately! I use the same gauge on my Teles and my Gibsons.

As far back as Summer 2023 we decided to embark on a string odyssey to try out some different things over an extended period.

Mick wanted some slightly different weights, and Dan was looking for a slightly different feel. Our search ended at Stringjoy.

We ordered a few boxes and started using them on all our guitars, before deciding that some tweaks to the standard gauges would be cool… and here they are!

These are Stringjoy Signature Nickel Wound electric guitar strings.

String gauges are: 11 / 14 / 18p / 30 / 42 / 52

Sets are comprised of SIX individual strings sealed in anti-corrosion packaging.

Please note guitar strings cannot be returned - please see our Returns Policy for more info.
