Hand-made leather key fob. Made from the beautiful leather left over from our guitar straps to minimise waste.

Each key fob is debossed with the Effected icon and text logo and has a heavy duty nickel split ring for your keys attached through a nickel riveted leather loop.

Available in black or brown.

Everyday practical, made to use, made to last.

Our key fobs are hand-made in Devon, England by fifth generation leather crafting family, Heistercamp.

We use offcuts leftover from the hides used to make our guitar straps to create leather Effected key fobs in an effort to minimise waste.

The leather is carefully selected before it's run through a knife-press to create the piece which will form your finished key fob.

After the edges are hand coated, each key fob has a bespoke Effected signal icon and text logo pressed into the leather. They are each finished with a nickel rivet and high-quality flat nickel split ring.

Made using black or dark brown pull-up leather.

Leather tag 95mm long x 23mm wide x 3mm thick. Leather tag with split ring 116mm long.

Nickel flat split ring 29mm diameter (outside edge).

There is only one size available.

Our key fobs are hand made from full-grain leather. Please be aware that the hides contain natural creasing and markings. This make each one unique.

Cleaning: Use a slightly damp cloth to remove any dirt or stickiness.

Avoid excess water. Gentle veg based soaps can be used, but only sparingly.

Over time you may need to moisturise the leather (just as you would a pair of leather shoes) so if it starts to feel or look dry then use a good quality leather conditioner. However, avoid water and never speed up the drying process with a hair dryer or radiator. Let it dry at room temperature.

Keep away from extreme heat, moisture, or direct sunlight to prevent damage to the leather.

Avoid excessive force when attaching or removing keys to prevent bending the metal ring or tearing the leather.

Keep out of reach of children to avoid choking hazards.

Clean leather with appropriate products to maintain its integrity and appearance.

Custom made for us by Heistercamp in Devon, England using offcuts from our Italian premium leather guitar straps.

The leather is naturally vegetable tanned using only natural dyes and is not treated with potentially harmful chemicals. This means that allergic skin reactions are unlikely.

Vegetable tanning is the most eco-friendly tanning method available:

- The tannins used are plant-based, making them safe for both people and the planet.
- Sewage sludge can be recovered and repurposed into materials like building bricks.
- Items made from vegetable-tanned leather are durable and can last for generations.
- When their life cycle ends, these products can be easily disposed of and turned into agricultural fertilisers.
